Operators of Airboat Rides in Florida Are up For Fighting The “Python Plague”

If you're a nature aficionado with a taste of adventure with wild species, you would love to join the “2013 Python Challenge” which in begun on January 12, 2013 and ended February 10, 2013. The said event was held at the Florida Everglades in an effort of The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to trim down the population of invasive Burmese pythons inhabiting in the Florida Everglades. The Everglades, known for its amazing wildlife adventures such as airboat rides in Florida, an airboat tour that lets the visitor see the entire park, faces a problem with growing population of Burmese pythons that abates the number of of raccoons, opossums, bobcats, rabbits, and other mammals in the python-plagued areas. With the total 68 Burmese pythons that caught after the challenge, operators of airboat rides in Florida like Ride-the-Wind hope that the outcome this python-hunting affair would somehow bring back the balance in ecosystem of the nature park.
